Former Conservative MP and British TV personality, Ann Widdecombe, was killed in her own home in Devon, in an attack classified by the British anti-terrorism police as a targeted action.
Widdecombe, at the age of 78, was found dead last Thursday after missing a television show, with investigators determining that the assault occurred the day before. A 28-year-old suspect from Rotherham has been arrested and is being investigated on charges of murder and under anti-terrorism legislation.
Detectives are examining a possible political motive for the attack, taking into account the hostility towards the victim's conservative ideology and her involvement in the Reform UK party. Authorities have stated that no other accomplices are being sought, with the suspect considered the sole perpetrator of this violent act.
