The U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, announced the arrest of Zubayar Al-Bakoush, a key participant in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack that resulted in the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Al-Bakoush was extradited from Libya and brought to the United States, where he faces eight charges, including murder and terrorism.
Bondi emphasized the authorities' commitment to seeking justice for the victims of the attack, which had been sealed for 11 years. This is the third suspect charged in connection with the attack, after others have already been convicted or killed.
