The cost of living crisis, which influenced global politics last year, persists, affecting major democracies. An international survey conducted by POLITICO shows that voter frustration in the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Canada regarding the cost of living remains a strong force. In the USA, 65% of voters believe the economic situation has worsened, while in the United Kingdom, 77% feel the same. In France, 45% of adults say their country is stagnating, and in Germany, 78% state that the cost of living has increased.

This economic crisis has led to a decline in the popularity of leaders and created opportunities for opposition parties. Voters perceive the crisis as a systemic issue, not a personal one, which complicates the management of the situation by governments. In the context of upcoming elections, messages related to affordability will be essential, and leaders from different countries are seeking solutions to address voter dissatisfaction.
