Tesla is preparing to enter the industrial energy storage systems market in India, according to a job announcement posted on the company's website. This expansion marks a new phase for Tesla, which began selling electric cars in India in August. The company will compete with Indian conglomerates led by billionaires Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who are heavily investing in the energy storage sector. The recruitment announcement is looking for a business development manager who will coordinate Tesla's entry into the utility-scale energy storage systems segment. India aims to achieve a production capacity of 500 gigawatts from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030, and the government encourages investments in storage technologies through tax incentives. This development is essential for stabilizing the electrical grid and reducing carbon emissions.
