The annual 'Han Kuang' military exercises in Taiwan, scheduled to run until July 18, involve 22,000 reservists, the largest number ever called up. The maneuvers, extended to 10 days, aim to demonstrate Taiwan's resolve to defend itself against Chinese threats. Taiwan uses HIMARS missile systems and M1A2 Abrams M1A2 tanks, simulating various defense scenarios. The exercises come amid mounting military pressure from China and estimates that an invasion could be planned by 2027.
