On Sunday, a swimming pool in the German town of Kehl, located at the border with France, was evacuated and closed due to serious public order disturbances.
A group of about 60 French men attempted to illegally enter the pool area, climbing over the outer fence and refusing to pay the entrance fee. The initial intervention by security staff quickly escalated into verbal altercations, leading to the urgent mobilization of local police patrols and the German federal police.
During the incident, the aggressors vandalized the public space, overturning trash cans and expressing their dissatisfaction. Authorities decided to close the pool to restore order.
