Sweden will implement a ban on mobile phones in all schools and after-school clubs, starting from the autumn of 2026, as part of a package of educational reforms. This measure targets students aged between 7 and 16 years and aims to improve safety and the learning environment. The Swedish government will allocate 95 million crowns for the implementation of this rule, which adds to other reforms in the educational system. The ban comes in a context where other countries, such as Denmark and France, have adopted similar measures to limit the use of mobile phones in schools.
