The Swedish public health agency has published new guidelines for parents, recommending that they avoid using smartphones when spending time with their children.

This recommendation comes after research showed that the time parents spend on screens negatively affects interactions with their children. The authority suggests establishing 'screen-free zones' in homes, such as the bedroom and dining area, and encourages parents to protect their children in the online environment.

Studies have highlighted that parents' digital habits influence children's behaviors, and small changes in screen usage can have a significant impact.
