Sweden will pay 2.1 billion crowns for the purchase of the Tridon air defense systems, developed by BAE Systems Bofors, while Denmark will contribute approximately 500 million crowns.

The Swedish Minister of Defense, Pal Jonson, emphasized the importance of this system, mentioning that Ukraine urgently needs such capabilities, considering the intensification of the Russian offensive. The purchase contract will be signed soon, and delivery is estimated to take about a year.

The Danish Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, stated that this donation will strengthen Ukraine's air defense capacity, which is facing severe pressure. Sweden and Denmark are among the most fervent supporters of Ukraine, providing military and humanitarian aid since the early days of the Russian invasion.
