88 postal operators, including Deutsche Post and Royal Mail, have suspended their services to the USA, which has led to an 81% decrease in postal shipments.

Following the removal of the exemption from customs duties for small postal packages by the Trump administration, 88 postal operators have completely or partially suspended services to the USA, including Deutsche Post and Royal Mail. The Universal Postal Union (UPU) reported an 81% decrease in postal traffic. UPU is working on a technical solution for resuming shipments. Trump's decision was justified by the need to combat smuggling and dangerous imports.
