Collins Jumaisi, aged 33, was arrested after bags of mutilated bodies were discovered in a garbage dump near his home in Nairobi. He confessed to luring and killing 42 women and police found more evidence at his home, including a machete probably used to slice up the victims. Crowds of people gathered to witness the digging up of the victims, and there were clashes between locals and police. False rumors circulated on social media that the bodies belonged to protesters kidnapped by security forces.
