The Palestinian movement Hamas has made a surprising appeal to Iran, urging it not to attack neighboring Gulf countries, following the attacks carried out by Tehran's forces in response to American-Israeli actions. In a message sent via Telegram, Hamas acknowledged Iran's right to retaliate but emphasized the importance of avoiding escalation of the conflict.
The movement also called on the international community to intervene to stop the ongoing war. This statement comes after the assassination of the Iranian supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, following an Israeli attack, an incident that Hamas vehemently condemned. The alliance known as the 'Axis of Resistance' has suffered significant losses, and expert Mohanad Hage Ali pointed out that the destruction of the Iranian regime could lead to the collapse of this Axis.
