A suicide attack took place on Tuesday in front of a judicial building in Islamabad, Pakistan, causing the death of at least 12 people and injuring another 27. According to the Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, the attacker attempted to enter the building but detonated the explosive device near a police vehicle after waiting between 10 and 15 minutes. Naqvi emphasized that the incident is being investigated from multiple angles, noting that it is not an ordinary attack, occurring in the capital of the country.

Although no one immediately claimed responsibility, Pakistan is facing a resurgence of activities by Pakistani Taliban. The explosion occurred near the entrance of the court in Islamabad, which was crowded with litigants.
