Steve Witkoff, President Trump's envoy for the Middle East, stated that the war in Gaza will end "one way or another" by the end of the year. He accused Hamas of total responsibility for blocking a peace agreement. Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive, over 60,000 deaths among Palestinians have been reported. There has also been discussion about a recent agreement that would allow for the release of some Israeli hostages, but Israel has not accepted it yet, continuing its attacks on Gaza.
