BBC analysis shows that Starbucks is facing a decline in customer numbers as repeated price hikes are introduced. The company's sales fell by 1.8% globally, and in the US, the firm's biggest market, sales in stores open for at least a year fell 3%. Many loyal customers, including members of the rewards club, have quit Starbucks because of high prices.
