The Silesian Stadium in Chorzow, Poland, has decided to cancel the concert of rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, scheduled for June 19. The decision comes after the artist postponed a show in France amid controversies surrounding his antisemitic comments and glorification of Nazism. The United Kingdom recently banned him from traveling to the country to headline a festival, and Polish authorities have indicated their intention to prohibit the concert, citing the history of the Holocaust.
The Polish Minister of Culture, Marta Cienkowska, emphasized that in Poland, marked by Nazi atrocities, a concert cannot be considered merely entertainment. Stadium representatives confirmed the cancellation and have begun the necessary legal proceedings. Kanye West was also banned in Australia last year due to promoting Nazism.
