Another 21 people are reported missing, and 14 have been injured. The government reported that reservoirs and rivers have exceeded their limits, blocking roads, and passenger trains have been suspended. Authorities have intervened with helicopters and boats to rescue isolated individuals. Images have also captured a car swept away by the waters, resulting in the death of three passengers near the city of Ampara.
