South Korea has announced that it will not provide Ukraine with lethal weapons or air defense systems, maintaining a humanitarian aid line, according to a senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul. This decision comes in response to appeals from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has called for deeper cooperation and military support, considering the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia.

The South Korean official emphasized that the support offered to Ukraine focuses on energy, infrastructure, health, and education, in accordance with national legislation. He also acknowledged that military cooperation between North Korea and Russia affects the security of South Korea and called for its cessation. Zelensky mentioned that Russia has received ballistic missiles from Pyongyang and has begun deploying North Korean troops in Russia, which further complicates the situation.
