The law, supported by all political parties, addresses concerns regarding the impact of social networks on young people. Approximately 37% of middle and high school students acknowledge that the use of social networks affects their lives, while 22% state that they become anxious when they do not have access to social networks. Although some schools already had restrictions, the new legislation formalizes them. Exceptions will be made for students with disabilities or for educational purposes. Youth rights organizations contest the ban, considering it a violation of children's rights.
