The Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced the suspension of emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine, in the context of Russian attacks and energy difficulties in the country.
Fico stated that, in the event that Ukraine requests assistance for stabilizing the electricity grid, it will not be granted. He also warned that if Ukraine continues to disrupt oil supplies to Slovakia, the government will reconsider its positions regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
Robert Fico declared a state of emergency in the oil supply sector, accusing Ukraine of blackmail and stating that oil deliveries are functioning, contrary to Ukrainian claims. He threatened with additional measures if the situation does not improve and requested official explanations from Ukraine.
