India has announced seven days of national mourning following the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Manmohan Singh has passed away at the age of 92, and the period of national mourning officially began on Thursday and will last until Wednesday. Singh led India between 2004 and 2014 and was known for his economic reforms that transformed the country into a world power. The date of the national funeral has not yet been officially announced.
