The 'Phica' website has sparked controversy in Italy by publishing doctored photographs of well-known women, including Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and opposition leader Elly Schlein. The images, altered to suggest sexual connotations, have reignited discussions about misogyny and gender-based violence. Politicians from the Democratic Party have filed complaints, and an online petition to shut down the site has gathered over 150,000 signatures. The scandal coincides with the recent advancement of legislation against gender-based violence in Italy.
