Yvonne Shields has claimed a refund of £827 in airfares after the death of her husband Colin, who had booked flights to represent Scotland at a football match. Although she sent the death certificate and was informed that part of the refund had been approved, Ryanair refused to communicate with her, citing its privacy policy. The company later acknowledged an error and undertook to assist her in obtaining a full refund.
