Airport Coordination Netherlands (ACNL) has announced the sanctioning of Ryanair for repeated flight delays from Pisa and Sofia, imposing a rarely used measure for two arrival slots. Flights from Bulgaria and Italy have had average delays of one hour, also affecting return flights.

ACNL found that Ryanair deliberately violated the rules, having dozens of delays. Although the airline contested the decision in court, the court in Haarlem ruled in favor of ACNL, confirming that the procedure was followed. Ryanair will have to reschedule or cancel the affected flights until a solution is found. The company has not yet provided an official response.
