Sergei Narashkin, director of the Russian foreign intelligence service (SVR), confirmed a telephone conversation with his US counterpart, John Ratcliffe, underlining their readiness to discuss topics of mutual interest. This is the second conversation between the two, taking place amid a recent rapprochement between Moscow and Washington. At the same time, Russia announced the capture of the village of Novukraiinka in the Donetsk region, but the information has not been independently confirmed.
