State Counselor Vlad Ionescu recently commented on the CIA director's visit to Moscow, considering it a positive sign for the region where Romania is located. He emphasizes the importance of dialogue between Russia and the USA, in the context of discussions about strategic stability and security, during a period when Russia is facing difficulties on the front and in the economic sphere.

Ionescu suggests that the United States could seek to control the conflict in Ukraine and promote a resolution, instead of allowing a prolongation of the war. Although the details of the discussions remain unclear, the counselor mentions the economic fragilities of Russia and the possible options that the Kremlin might explore, including mobilization. He concludes that American-Russian dialogue could help keep the conflict within controllable limits and steer it towards a quicker resolution.
