A video that appeared on social media shows a horse equipped with a Starlink terminal, used by Russian soldiers in Ukraine. The terminal, developed by SpaceX, allows for satellite internet transmissions, and the soldier in the video claims that the equipment is functioning correctly. Although SpaceX has denied commercial activities in Russia, it seems that Moscow is managing to obtain Starlink terminals through third countries. If these images are authentic, using horses to transport the equipment could allow Russian soldiers to transmit information in real-time to commands. This practice has been observed before, and the use of animals for military logistics has become more common amid a decrease in the supply of armored vehicles. Russian Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev mentioned that using donkeys and horses for transporting ammunition has become a common practice in warfare.
