The Russian presidency declared that it has not received any invitation to participate in a possible G7 summit in Paris, following messages between Emmanuel Macron and Donald Trump. Dmitri Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, confirmed that Moscow has not been invited. Donald Trump posted on his social network a screenshot of a message from Macron, in which the French president suggests organizing a G7 summit, to which the Russians could also be invited.

Macron emphasized that he is aligned with Trump regarding some international issues. Despite these discussions, Russian attacks on Ukraine continue, causing significant destruction, including a lack of heating for thousands of homes in Kiev, in conditions of extreme temperatures.
