Russia has issued a clear threat to the USA, stating that it could arm Venezuela with nuclear-capable missiles, particularly the Oreshnik system. Alexei Juravliov, first vice-chairman of the Russian parliamentary defense committee, stated that missile deliveries could occur in response to the concentration of American naval forces near the coast of Venezuela. Juravliov emphasized that Russia is already supplying Venezuela with a wide range of weapons, including fighter jets and air defense systems.
Recently, a Russian cargo plane landed in Caracas, signaling an intensification of military collaboration between Russia and Venezuela, following a request from Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia intends to deploy the Oreshnik system in Belarus, which could pose an additional threat to Europe. This situation highlights the increasing tensions in the region and Russia's involvement in Latin America's military affairs.
