According to sources from NATO intelligence services, Russia may develop a new anti-satellite weapon aimed at targeting Elon Musk's Starlink network, which supports Ukrainian communications. This weapon could fill the orbits of Starlink satellites with hundreds of thousands of small pellets, having the capacity to simultaneously disable multiple satellites, but also to affect satellites of other countries and the International Space Station. Analysts are skeptical about the functionality of this weapon, warning that an attack could generate chaos in space, affecting global communications. It is also mentioned that Russia perceives Starlink as a major threat. Although there are no details about the development stage of this weapon, security experts suggest that it may be more of a deterrent strategy than an operational system. The Space Command of the French Armed Forces has highlighted Russia's increasingly hostile behavior in space.
