In a press conference, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, stated that discussions about resuming dialogue with NATO are inconceivable in the current context. A few days before the NATO Alliance summit in Ankara, Zakharova emphasized that Russia has no 'aggressive plans' towards NATO, reiterating the positions of President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. However, she accused NATO of continuing to escalate tensions and called on the West to reconsider its hostile approaches towards Russia. Zakharova concluded that without these changes, serious discussions about normalizing relations with the Alliance cannot take place.
