Russia reacted cautiously to the statements of American President Donald Trump regarding the resumption of nuclear tests by the United States, after a 33-year hiatus. The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Russia has not conducted nuclear tests and has not been notified by the U.S. about any change in their position.
Trump ordered the military to resume tests due to the programs of other countries, and Peskov emphasized that Russia will adapt its actions based on the decisions of others. He also clarified that recent tests with the Burevestnik missile and the Poseidon torpedo are not considered nuclear tests. Peskov reaffirmed that Russia, having the largest nuclear arsenal, will respond accordingly if other states violate the moratorium on nuclear tests.
