Russia has sent a protest note to Israel after an attack on a Russian diplomatic vehicle near Jerusalem, accusing Israeli settlers.

The incident occurred on July 30, when a Russian mission vehicle was attacked by settlers near the settlement of Givat Assaf. The Russian Foreign Ministry said the attack took place with the consent of Israeli military personnel on the scene, who did not intervene. Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zaharova said Russia had sent an official protest note to the Israeli authorities.
