Although Russia has launched North Korean missiles in the past, their recent use suggests the existence of a new stockpile of weapons that Moscow can utilize as it intensifies attacks on Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russian attacks have resulted in the deaths of eight people and emphasized the lack of air defense equipment, calling for assistance from allies. The last confirmation of a North Korean missile attack was on August 8, 2025, and North Korea has been an important ally of Russia, providing soldiers and ammunition throughout the conflict.
