Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced a reduction in the economic growth forecast for Russia for 2025, citing the impact of high interest rates and inflation on lending and investments. Although the economy grew by 4.1% in 2023 and 4.3% in 2024, there are risks of recession. High military spending has fueled inflation, leading to an increase in the benchmark interest rate. Russia's GDP has stagnated at levels similar to those in 2013, and IMF forecasts indicate a growth of only 0.9% for this year.
