Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov announced on Monday that Russia is also reorganizing the use of drones in the war in Ukraine, moving from small teams to specialized units with extended missions. In the same meeting, Belousov mentioned that Russia is developing new air defense systems that integrate artificial intelligence technologies used for image recognition, automatic target acquisition, and navigation. He emphasized that the systems need to be trained to become more effective. A multi-level anti-drone defense system has also been created, but protecting Russian regions remains a challenge due to the rapid changes in drone attack tactics. Belousov highlighted the importance of creating a unique informational environment for coordinating military operations, mentioning that military personnel have received tablets connected to this system. In the context of increasing Ukrainian air attacks, President Putin has called for an acceleration of air defense system production.
