The spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitri Peskov, stated that Russia continues to make efforts to de-escalate tensions around Iran, offering services for the processing or storage of the country's enriched uranium.

Peskov emphasized that Russia is willing to assist in the withdrawal of enriched uranium from Iran to reduce the "irritating factors" associated with the Iranian nuclear program. He also mentioned that Russia maintains contacts with all parties involved and is open to contributing to the reduction of tensions. In the context of nuclear negotiations between the US and Iran, which have stalled due to the conflict generated by Israel, the US has deployed military forces near Iran, while internal protests in Iran have led to violent repression, resulting in thousands of deaths and arrests.
