Russia has lost approximately 1,208,970 soldiers in Ukraine since the beginning of its invasion in February 2022, reported the General Staff of Ukraine.

According to a report from the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia has suffered losses of approximately 1,208,970 soldiers since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The number includes 1,060 casualties in the last day. Alongside soldiers, Russia has also lost a significant amount of military equipment, including 11,488 tanks, 23,849 armored combat vehicles, 72,418 vehicles and fuel tanks, 35,678 artillery systems, 1,587 multiple rocket launch systems, 1,266 air defense systems, 434 aircraft, 347 helicopters, 98,453 drones, 4,136 cruise missiles, 28 ships, and two submarines. The General Staff emphasized that each loss of Russian forces contributes to the approach to a just peace and thanked the defenders for their efforts.
