On the night from Thursday to Friday, Russia carried out an airstrike on Ukraine, launching a ballistic missile and 111 long-range drones, despite a verbal agreement announced by American President Donald Trump with Vladimir Putin, in which the latter committed to stopping the bombing of Ukrainian infrastructure for a week. The Ukrainian air forces reported that 80 of the drones were neutralized, while 25, along with the missile, hit 15 unspecified points in Ukraine. Trump urged Putin to avoid bombings on Ukrainian cities due to the extremely cold weather, with expected temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius. Ukrainian President Zelensky thanked Trump and expressed hope that the initiative would lead to the cessation of attacks.
