Russia announced that it extracted and decoded a file from a downed Ukrainian drone, claiming that it targeted a presidential residence in the Novgorod region, where President Vladimir Putin resides. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the navigation data confirms the intention to attack and that the information will be transmitted to the United States.

Moscow accused Kiev of an attempted attack with 91 drones, which could affect negotiation discussions with the US regarding the war in Ukraine. In contrast, Ukraine and Western officials contest these accusations, considering them a disinformation campaign aimed at distancing relations between Kiev and Washington, especially after the recent meeting between Presidents Trump and Zelensky.
