Rumen Radev, former president of Bulgaria and considered close to Russia, is on track to win the parliamentary elections held on Sunday, according to exit polls. The newly created Progressive Bulgaria movement, established by Radev, is estimated to obtain between 37.5% and 38.9% of the votes, according to polling agencies Market Links and Alpha Research.

Although this result places the party in first place, with support more than twice that of its competitors, it is not enough to form a government without coalition partners. This complicated situation could lead to difficult negotiations for forming a functional majority in Parliament.
