Reza Pahlavi, the son of the former Shah of Iran and a prominent figure of the Iranian opposition in exile, emphasized that public institution employees and members of the armed forces have a choice between being allies of the nation or accomplices of the oppressive regime. Pahlavi addressed a message to Iranian citizens in business, stating that Iranian embassies and consulates should be adorned with the national flag of the former monarchy, instead of that of the Islamic Republic.

Protests against the government have intensified, and concerns about brutal repression are growing, in conditions where the internet is blocked in Iran. Recently, in London, hundreds of demonstrators protested in front of the Iranian embassy, highlighting support for the opposition movement.
