Nik Storonsky, the founder of Revolut, is being sued by the broker Cecil Wright & Partners for avoiding the payment of the commission on the purchase of a 350 million euro superyacht.

Nik Storonsky, the founder of Revolut, is facing a lawsuit worth 17.5 million euros from the luxury yacht broker Cecil Wright & Partners. They claim that Storonsky acquired 'behind their back' to avoid paying the commission related to the purchase of a 350 million euro superyacht, bought in January 2026.

Court documents show that an advisor from Storonsky's family office contacted the broker in 2024 to build a yacht, but chose to buy the 102-meter vessel directly, built by Lürssen. Cecil Wright claims they are entitled to a 5% commission from the sale, according to a brokerage contract. The yacht's history is complicated, considering it was previously sold to a Brazilian owner arrested for fraud. Chris Cecil-Wright, the founder of the brokerage house, stated that he is confident in his case and is taking legal action.
