The Resistance Front, also known as the Kashmir Resistance, initially claimed responsibility for the April attack but later denied involvement. The US designated the TRF as a terrorist organization following the Pahalgam attack, a move welcomed by India as a confirmation of cooperation in fighting terrorism. The attack provoked intense fighting between India and Pakistan, culminating in bombings and a truce on May 10.
