Renault, through its subsidiary Renault Geely do Brasil, will carry out a significant investment in Brazil, where Geely holds a 26.4% stake. This investment will focus on three automotive development projects, following a recent cooperation agreement with Geely. The first project involves the creation of a Geely GEA platform, which will be used for the production of two new models scheduled for launch in the second half of 2026.
Additionally, an existing Renault model will be restyled and launched during the same period, although details about this model have not been disclosed. Furthermore, a new electrified platform will be developed for a Renault model planned for 2027. Investments will be made at the industrial complex in Sao Jose dos Pinhais, and Renault and Geely aim to accelerate development in the Brazilian market by combining their resources. Renault Group, with expertise in electrification and an alliance with Nissan and Mitsubishi, is committed to providing sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.
