The press service of the Games stated that, if necessary, additional supplies will be provided during the competition. In comparison, at the Paris 2024 Olympics, 200,000 male condoms, 20,000 female condoms, and 10,000 oral condoms were distributed. The rapid depletion of the stock can be explained by the fact that many athletes consider the condoms as souvenirs, as mentioned by American figure skater Adam Rippon, who admitted to taking some of them from the 2018 edition.
