Qatari Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi has sent a letter to the Belgian government, warning that Qatar and QatarEnergy could seek alternative markets for LNG exports if the CSDD legislation is not adjusted. This law requires companies to address human rights abuses and submit climate transition plans. Qatar, which has delivered between 12% and 14% of Europe's LNG needs, says the law violates countries' sovereignty to determine their national contributions.
