Russian President Vladimir Putin left China on Wednesday, canceling the press conference after the visit due to a lack of concrete results.

During the meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, a joint declaration was signed calling for dialogue in Iran and condemning the attacks by the USA and Israel, as well as another 20 agreements. However, no agreement was reached regarding the increase of oil and gas exports to China or the construction of the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline. Putin stated that Russia will ensure a secure supply of hydrocarbons in the context of the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz.

Additionally, Russia emphasized its intention to expand energy projects with China. Politically, Russia supported the principle of one China, and Beijing backed Moscow's position in the conflict in Ukraine.

Putin is expected to return to China in November for the APEC summit, where he may have a meeting with American President Donald Trump.
