Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that he is open to the idea of achieving Russia's objectives through diplomatic means, but will expand the buffer zone in Ukraine as a reaction to Kiev's actions, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov.
He emphasized that Russia will continue its military campaign, believing that Ukraine has no intention of negotiating at present. Peskov accused Ukraine of terrorist attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, endangering its safety.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin announced that it is in contact with Turkey regarding the fate of the S-400 missile systems, after speculation that Ankara might resell these missiles to a Gulf country. Peskov confirmed that discussions with Turkey will continue, emphasizing the sensitivity of this issue.
