In a videoconference meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin highlighted the alliance between Moscow and Beijing as a "stabilizing factor" in the context of global turmoil. Putin assured that the two countries will continue to collaborate closely on the global and regional agenda. Economic, diplomatic, and military relations between Russia and China have strengthened, especially after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Additionally, Xi Jinping expressed support for Putin by inviting him to important events, such as a military parade. In this context, China calls for peace negotiations in Ukraine, without condemning Russia, and presents itself as an essential partner for Moscow in shaping a new multipolar world order. The meeting takes place against the backdrop of pressures exerted by the USA on Iran and ongoing negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine.
